A Rehab Centre

Teen watch centre is a Community Based Organization located at Ukunda show ground in Ukunda. It was registered in the year 2002 by ministry of gender, sports and social services. Our core activities is carrying awareness on HIV/AIDS and drugs, rehabilitation and carrying out income generating activities of block making and farming. We protect youth and children (boys and girls) from use and abuse of drugs, from child abuse and also from child trafficking. We help addicts to become responsible and drug free citizens of our country.

What we do


This is one of the main areas that we are concentrating in given the fact that The Coastal parts if Kenya is leading in drug addiction by the youth. We take care of all those who come to us or are brought to us by concerned individuals or relatives.

HIV Care and Treatment

Teens watch Center is in the process of upgrading the facility to a level 2 health center. The facility is scaling up its services to ensure 90:90:90 HIV and AIDs testing and treatment Goal is achieved. The center renovations will be done by December 2016. On 1st November t he clinical officer in charge Lilian Naanyu requested MOH Public health department to conduct the final inspection before certification of the facility. At least 78 HIV cases are managed at different GOK Comprehensive care centers. These are 48 PWIDs and 34 FSWs. Among them at least 39 clients are on HIV care. (48 PWIDs and 24 FSWs)

Cohort Maintenance

Teens watch center staff ensures KPs are reached regularly in the clinic and during outreaches. The center clinical department team ensures every client access clinical services once every quarterly plus other services which are offered daily with the peer educators. The facility records at least 120 clients’ daily visits.
